Running Playlist – February

Running Playlist – February

When no one else is in the office at work, I turn straight to Hair Nation. Nothing pumps me up quite like glam metal/rock. It’s almost as good as coffee.

February has never been my favorite month. By February, I’m always cranky with the cold weather and tired of the Valentine’s Day decorations that have been up since January 1st. Let’s just say I always need to get pumped up in February.

So the theme for this month’s playlist is Love Goes Glam. Because nothing and no one can express the peaks and valleys of love in the overblown way an 80s hair band can.

“Keep On Loving You” REO Speedwagon

“Here I Go Again” Whitesnake

“It’s Not Love” Dokken

“Why Can’t This Be Love” Van Halen

“Too Young to Fall In Love” Mötley Crüe

“Sweet Child O’ Mine” Guns N Roses

“She Sells Sanctuary” The Cult

“I Don’t Believe in Love” Queensryche

“Round and Round” Ratt

“You Give Love a Bad Name” Bon Jovi

“No One Like You” Scorpions

“Pour Some Sugar on Me” Def Leppard

“Sister Christian” Night Ranger

“Sometimes She Cries” Warrant

“Every Rose Has Its Thorn” Poison

Length: 1 hour

Please keep in mind that how you start and finish are just as important as the run itself. You can seriously damage your body if you don’t pamper it with a warm up and cool down. My friend wound up with a stress fracture in her foot because she didn’t properly stretch before running, and she’s usually really good about that.

Happy (early) Valentine’s Day, everyone!
