FAQs

What do you do in real life?

I work at an indie record label called Bright Antenna Records.

Yeah, I know. You said that. But what do you do?

I’m the product manager and online sales manager. Basically, if you see a product (digital album, physical album, tshirt, sunglasses, etc), I make sure the creation and manufacturing happens. I’m the shepherd that goes around bugging everyone to make sure we hit the deadlines.

I also do a bunch of other things that would take longer to explain.

How often do you post?

I post a recipe every Monday and a craft project on Wednesdays. I also post a new running playlist on the first Friday of every month. Every now and then I’ll throw in another recipe post when I’m really excited about something.

Why don’t you post any videos?

Currently, I don’t have the camera set-up to make videos possible. I might in the future, but I’m pretty camera shy, so we’ll have to see. 🙂

What theme do you use?

Licorice with a custom header, menus and widgets. It’s a free theme for both WordPress.com and .org. You can find it in the theme directory for WordPress.com or here for WordPress.org.

What do you do when you’re not working or writing for the blog?

Hang out with my boyfriend and/or friends. I read a lot of books. I like hiking. I frequent the Mission. I go to craft stores and thrift stores. Thrift Town is my home away from home these days.

I cook and bake a lot. Pretty much every night is a new dish. My current project is gluten-free pizza dough that isn’t a thin crust. (So far I haven’t had much luck.)

Vintage Kaitlin w: Martini

You can tell I’ve been watching way too much Project Runway when I start posting like a fiend on Polyvore.

I’m really into vintage fashion. So much so, actually, that my friend and I have a monthly date that we call Fancy Night. You can probably spot us out in the Mission some Saturday night. We’ll be the ones in faux fur drinking martinis with awkwardly large garnishes.
